The promise
What happens to your request data.
Never trained on.
Tabstack and our contracted model providers do not use your requests or the content we process for you to train models under the agreements governing the service.
You control request-history collection.
Detailed data collection lets us retain request content to help investigate issues. An organization admin can turn it off in the console to stop storing new request payloads. Account, billing, and operational and security records are separate, as described in the Privacy Notice.
Built by Mozilla
Built and operated by Mozilla.
Who operates Tabstack
Mozilla Corporation, the organization behind Firefox, operates Tabstack and holds the service-provider agreements.
How you pay
You pay for API usage through credits.
Open-source automation
Pilo, the engine behind Tabstack's browser automation, is open source. Run it in your own environment when you need to control where the automation runs.
Account controls
Choose what stays in your request history.
Detailed data collection is on for new organizations. An organization admin manages it in the console; turning it off stops storing new request payloads. Website analytics and session-replay consent are controlled separately through Cookie Preferences.
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Detailed data collection | Whether new request payloads are stored in your history |
| Organization or account deletion | Request deletion of your organization or account data; legal and security retention exceptions are described in the Privacy Notice |
| Cookie preferences | Manage optional cookies |
| Analytics and session replay | Withdraw consent to optional website tracking through Cookie Preferences |
Retention
The retention windows, in plain language.
Request history: 90 days
When detailed collection is enabled, request history, including inputs and results, is kept for 90 days, then deleted. You can delete history sooner. Turn off request-history collection to stop storing new payloads.
IP logs: 60 days
IP addresses collected in server logs are automatically deleted after 60 days.
Website interaction data: 30 days
Interaction and referral data are deleted after 30 days. Session replays are collected only with consent and are also deleted after 30 days.
These are separate retention windows, not a promise that every service record disappears after 90 days. Account, payment, and other operational records follow the Privacy Notice. Read the full Privacy Notice →
Providers
Who processes your requests.
Tabstack runs on Google Cloud. For features that use models, request content and instructions are sent to contracted model providers to produce the result. The Privacy Notice names Google Cloud, including Vertex AI, and OpenAI. Those services process requests under the agreements governing the service; your content is not used to train models.

Limits
Know what hosted Tabstack does and doesn't change.
- Turning off history storage does not stop the processing required to fulfill a request. Features that use models still send the relevant content to contracted providers.
- If your policy prohibits hosted processing, evaluate a self-hosted approach. Pilo covers browser automation, not a self-hosted version of the full Tabstack API.
- Hosted Automate cannot log in. Use self-hosted Pilo for workflows that require authentication.
- Need a certification or specific contractual control? Ask usto confirm availability before relying on it.
